### Why I Love Golf

Why golf? This question often comes up from friends who struggle to understand my deep passion for the sport. My answer is always the same: "It's a sanctuary where I can truly be myself and experience genuine joy." In reality, it's a space where all external distractions fade away. Whether I'm playing a round with friends, practicing at the range under the guidance of my coach, or walking nine holes after a long day at school, golf provides me the opportunity to reflect and recharge.

My journey with this sport didn't begin with certainty. For a time, I was a three-season varsity athlete involved in various activities, all of which I enjoyed, but I lacked a sense of commitment or purpose. As I approached my final year of middle school, I realized I needed to dedicate myself to something meaningful, not just for academic or competitive reasons, but for personal growth. That’s when I consciously committed to golfing. I had always played casually, but during those early mornings and late evenings spent training, I recognized the profound challenge the game presented. Golf is unforgiving; it demands hard work and perseverance, which makes it so compelling. Perfection may be an elusive goal, yet it is a pursuit worth undertaking.

Golf has become an essential part of my identity. It has taught me valuable lessons in patience, focus, and resilience when facing mistakes. It has also helped me learn how to stay composed under pressure. The excitement and pride I feel when my hard work pays off only ignite my desire to improve further. Beyond being just a game, golf is where I truly feel authentic and at peace with myself.
